How To Setup Your Review PLR Blog

Here’s a complete set of step by step videos that shows you exactly how to setup your niche PLR Blog. This is the next best thing to me coming to your house and showing you how to do it myself!<–more–>

1. REGISTER A DOMAIN NAME

Ok, I don’t think I need to do a video for this, do I? Just go to your favorite registrar and register a domain name related to your niche. (I suggest you use namecheap.com because one of the videos in this series shows you how to change DNS at namecheap)

2. GET HOSTING

Again, I’m pretty sure you can handle this one without a video. If you don’t have hosting already, I recommend HOSTGATOR (Yes, that IS my affiliate link but you don’t have to use it, you can just go to hostgator.com). I suggest you get the “baby” account because you will be able to host unlimited domains for only $7.99 a month. Can’t get a much better deal than that!

3. CHANGING THE DNS ON YOUR DOMAIN

Once you have your hosting and domain name, you need to point the domain to your server. Your hosting company should have sent you an email with your NAME SERVERS listed in it (if you don’t have that, then just contact support and they can tell you what these are). If you have purchases the domain and the hosting at the same place, then they probably have already done this for you.

You need to go into your account where you registered the domain and change the Domain Name Server setup. The video below shows you how to do that at Namecheap.

5. UPLOADING THE CUSTOM THEME AND PLUGINS

In this video, I use the free FTP program Filezilla – you can download Filezilla here.

6. IMPORTING THE POSTS AND PAGES

NOTE:  On the import screen they call the file a WXR file, but it’s really the file in xml format so you want to import the wordpressexport.xml file just like the video shows  – there is no .wxr file that’s just what wordpress calls the format inside the xml file just to confuse everyone.

7. ACTIVATE THE CUSTOM THEME AND SETUP THE PLUGINS

8. UPDATE THE AMAZON AND CLICKBANK AFFILIATE LINKS

This video shows you an easy way to change over the Amazon and clickbank affiliate links to YOUR tracking id. If you don’t have one, go sign up at https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/ and http://www.clickbank.com- it’s free, easy and fast!

You want to replace changeme-20 with your Amazon affiliate id, and replaceme-30 with your clickbank affiliate id as shown in the video below:

9. UPDATE THE SIDEBAR, ADSENSE AND VIDEO

If there’s a clickbank banner on the demo site, I usually include that with your download, so take a peek at this section inside the Blog Setup Guide PDF that comes with your download and you might find the exact code you need to paste into the sidebar for the affiliate banner field (I don’t always include it though so if you don’t see it, then you’ll have to get the code from your favorite affiliate program).

10. Change The Hompage To Show The Reviews
